    IAdapt 2.0 navigation with visual tracking

    The most advanced iAdapt 2.0 navigation easily manages the perfect cleaning of a large apartment or house. The Roomba 900 series has a camera with the help of which it detects obstacles, individual types of furniture and chooses the right way of cleaning. Regardless of the space, it will clean up to 185m2.

     

     

    Smart technology with the iRobot Home application

    With the iRobot Home application on your smartphone or tablet, you can control the robot even when you are not at home. Just press the CLEAN button. IRobot HOME offers you many other useful features and important information.

     

     

    Three-stage cleaning system

    Roomba is equipped with one of the most fundamental and innovative cleaning systems in the history of robotic vacuum cleaners – the AeroForce three-stage cleaning system. The AeroForce system concentrates the air flow in a narrow gap between the rotating brushes, thus having a strong effect. In combination with the new 2nd generation engine, the suction power is increased up to 5 times.

    1. Rotating side brush
    Thanks to the presence of a side brush, Roomba can effectively clean the area around the furniture, along the walls, the corners of the rooms and other inaccessible areas.

    2. Two counter-rotating AeroForce brushes
    The robotic vacuum cleaner initially uses two counter-rotating brushes located on the cleaning head of the vacuum cleaner. Thanks to them, Roomba effectively collects dust and large dirt from the floor. On hard floors the brush pulls dirt directly into the bucket. When cleaning carpets, the carpet fibers are first brushed with the special brush, so that the dirt rises to the surface and then the elastic brush pulls the dirt into the bucket.

    3. Suction motor
    The suction of fine dust is ensured by a powerful suction motor. Air filtration is provided by the AeroVac filter.

    Additional functions

    Communication with the iRobot Braava m6 robotic mop

    The Roomba 976 can communicate with the robotic mop Braava jet m6 via Imprint Link technology. Thanks to this revolutionary function, Roomba first wipes a given area and when it is finished, it automatically sends an instruction to Braava, which then mops the area that was previously wiped. The combination of these two robots ensures the cleaning of complex floors without the need to be present, thus offering an unprecedented comfort in cleaning the household.

    Large capacity AeroForce bucket

    Roomba has a large capacity bucket, which with the help of the AeroForce filter absorbs the smallest dust particles. Once the bucket is full, Roomba signals that the bucket must be emptied.

     

    Spot program

    The Spot program is used for local cleaning. After the program is activated manually, the broom cleans to a diameter of 1m. It will serve as a “broom and ashtray” when, for example, sugar is poured into your kitchen or to clean the mat at the entrance of your house.

     

    Gentle contact guard

    The soft touch bumper is soft on your furniture. Recognizes obstacles such as covers or curtains so it cleans effectively under the bed or even around the curtains.

     

    Sensors against falling from the stairs

    The sensors at the bottom of the robot can safely detect the free space under the robot, thus completely eliminating the possibility of falling down stairs. Roomba stops, turns and continues to clean where there is ground under the wheels.

     

    Cable avoidance system

    IRobot thinks like a normal household and has therefore equipped its robotic vacuum cleaner with the Antitangle function, which prevents entanglement and tangling in cables or carpet fringes. When the brush detects resistance, it rotates in reverse. This way, the robot is released from the wires and can continue cleaning.

     

    Acoustic and visual detection of impurities

    Roomba is equipped with a Dirt Detect system that detects through acoustic and optical sensors, extremely dirty areas, in which Roomba spends a lot of time to clean them.

     

    Cleaning scheduling function

    With the cleaning scheduling function, you can select the day and time when you want to start cleaning your robotic vacuum cleaner. Roomba is not bothered by darkness or obstacles, so it will always clean well even without your presence. IRobot offers cleaning programs for each day at a different time. You can set it up, for example, to clean three times a week, and it will clean every week at the scheduled time, thus maintaining a consistently clean floor.

     

    Charging function

    If necessary, Roomba will head to the charging station, charge and continue cleaning exactly where it left off before running out of battery. The lithium battery allows the Roomba 976 to clean for up to 75 minutes. The advantage of a lithium battery is its high capacity and long life.
